Bio: Ensuring veterans receive vital support during their transition is paramount. Access to fundamental necessities, community assistance, and resources can profoundly impact their lives. As a retired sergeant from the Army who was medically boarded out before my time, it has become my personal mission to guarantee that no veteran goes with unmet needs. Introducing a community where they can feel comfortable sharing their experiences with like-minded individuals is crucial for veterans to cultivate positive well-being outside of the military. With the assistance provided by the Mt. Carmel Veteran Center and Valley Vet Rec, we are able to bring more support to veterans in the San Luis Valley, granting them access to additional resources and assistance to ease their transition.
