As we bid farewell to April, we reflect on a month filled with engaging events and meaningful connections within our community. Here's a recap of the highlights from Valley Veterans ReCreation (VVR) in April. April Events Recap: Ruck Social at Stations of the Cross: On April 6th, we embarked on a memorable Ruck Social at Stations of the Cross. Despite the challenges, participants braved the elements and forged unforgettable memories during this invigorating outdoor adventure. 4x4 Social Excursion: Our 4x4 Social on April 27th was a thrilling journey through rugged terrain, offering participants an opportunity to explore the great outdoors and bond with fellow veterans and first responders. Social Media Campaign: Throughout April, we launched an impactful social media campaign aimed at raising awareness of our mission and engaging with our community online. Thank you to everyone who participated, shared our posts, and helped spread the word about Valley Veterans ReCreation. Board Positions Available: We're excited to announce that we have openings for board positions at Valley Veterans ReCreation. Looking Ahead to May: As we enter May, we're thrilled to announce exciting events and initiatives on the horizon. Archery Social on May 11th: Join us for a day of archery fun as we gather for an Archery Social on May 11th. It's a great opportunity to hone your skills, connect with fellow veterans and first responders, and enjoy the camaraderie of the outdoors. Early Ruck Social on May 25th: Lace up your boots and join us for an early morning Ruck Social on May 25th. It's a chance to kick off the holiday weekend with a refreshing outdoor workout and connect with our community. Donation Campaign Launch: We're excited to kick off a donation campaign in May to raise funds for the purchase of a building that will serve as a hub for veterans, first responders, and their families. Stay tuned for more details on how you can contribute and help us achieve this important milestone. Memorial Day Weekend: As we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, Valley Veterans ReCreation will participate in Memorial Day weekend activities to pay tribute to our fallen heroes. Ruck Social Success: Our Ruck Social on March 9th was a tremendous success! Veterans and their families came together to enjoy the great outdoors, fostering camaraderie through physical activity. 2. 4x4 Patriot Crawl Convoy: On March 23rd, we embarked on an unforgettable convoy to the 4x4 Patriot Crawl in Moab, Utah. The event was filled with off-road adventures and bonding moments. 3. New Partnerships: We're thrilled to announce new partnerships and monthly sponsors, bolstering our ability to serve veterans, first responders, and their families. We're grateful for the continued support of our community. Special thanks to Mt. Carmel Veterans Center for joining us in our mission to enhance the well-being of our nation's heroes. 4. Ambassador Program Launch: In March, we kicked off our Ambassador Program, empowering dedicated individuals to represent VVR and spread awareness about our mission in their communities. February Recap: In February, we made significant progress in our mission to enhance the well-being of our nations' heroes through outdoor recreation: Our fundraising efforts allowed us to purchase new gear for our gear locker, ensuring that participants have access to quality equipment for our outdoor activities. We continued to develop our website, which will serve as a central hub for information about our organization, upcoming events, and membership options. We're excited to announce that we've added new partners and monthly sponsors to our network, further strengthening our ability to serve our heroes and their families. Additionally, we're thrilled to share that we've received a generous grant from the LOR Foundation, which will support our efforts to enhance outdoor recreation opportunities.
